<meta content="OpenOffice.org 2.4 (Win32)" name="GENERATOR" /><style type="text/css"> <!-- @page { size: 8.5in 11in; margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } --> </style></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Today we want to look at setting up a plan<br /> for 2010 based on our vision which we<br /> have built and our why which we have defined.<br /> We now know where we want to go and<br /> why we want to go there. Now the next<br /> step - how are we going to get there?</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">We start with Goals, but we have to be<br /> careful because to many times people set<br /> up to many goals. Or they set up goals and<br /> they do not do any thing with them once<br /> they are defined.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">That is the reason we started with a<br /> vision first and then we defined why<br /> we wanted that vision. Remember that<br /> a vision is always, or should always be<br /> on our minds. We should always be thinking<br /> about where we want to go. Remember the<br /> vision, as we discussed last week, it has<br /> to be driving us, it should always be leading<br /> us. We have to have a passion to get there.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Today we are going to build the plan. The<br /> one thing I always tell people is that you<br /> have a vision, now what is it that you need<br /> to do to make that vision a reality. It does<br /> not have to be super complex, in fact the<br /> simplier it is, the high chance we have for<br /> success.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">In the planning process we should be looking<br /> at two types of goals. One is what I call<br /> mid-range goals, what is it we want to<br /> do 2-3 years out and the second is short-term<br /> goals, what do I want to do this year.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Today we are going to concentrate on<br /> short-term goals. Based on your vision,<br /> what are you going to do to get there<br /> this year. You need to set up some goals.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Goals are very simple to set up. First they<br /> have to be measurable. In other words,<br /> the goal has to be something you can<br /> actually do and you have to be able to<br /> tell that you have or have not accomplished<br /> it.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Then once you have a goal, then you can<br /> say, OK here is the goal now what do I<br /> need to do to get there.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Let me walk you through a simple example<br /> using my own business as an example.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">First my vision, which is very simple - I<br /> want to be on the stage in Las Vegas<br /> regularly speaking to thousands of business<br /> owners about what it takes to make them<br /> successful.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Second, the why for my vision - because<br /> I want to help people use the gifts they<br /> have and stop holding back. I want to help<br /> them go for the gold.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">With that in mind, my first goal could be<br /> something simple as: To speak 100 times<br /> over the next 12 months.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">That is a simple goal, easy to remember.<br /> It is measurable, I will know when I have<br /> or have not accomplished it.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Once I have thatg I need to define what the<br /> tasks are that I need to accomplish to make<br /> this happen.   Again, do not go crazy, I<br /> simply list 3-5 things to start with.  If I<br /> complete them all and am not at goal, or<br /> if they are not working, then I will have<br /> to adjust.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">So in my case here is my list:</font></font></font></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">1.  Write an information piece every week<br /> and send out to my email list</font></font></font></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">2.  Build email list by adding 100 names a<br /> week to it.</font></font></font></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">3.  Let everyone I meet know that I am<br /> available to speak by connecting with them<br /> regularly both through email and phone.</font></font></font></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">4.  Create a post card that is directly related<br /> to my speaking to hand out at networking<br /> events and mail out to people,</font></font></font></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">5.  Create a list of 250 people who hire<br /> speakers and call them regularly.</font></font></font></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3"><br /> So what I have created is one goal and the tasks<br /> to accomplish that goal.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">From here I will create 2-4 additional goals<br /> and the tasks that need to be done to<br /> accomplish them.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">It does seem really simple doesn’t it?<br /> It seems like anyone can do this?<br /> And you are right, anyone can do it, but few do it.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">So your assignment over the next week - do it.<br /> Next week we will talk about what it takes<br /> to make it happen.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">If you are looking for a sheet to manage your goals on.<br /> <a target="_blank" href="http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=kwwjsddab.0.0.ghq8jubab.0&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.kickstartcart.com%2FSecureCart%2FSecureCart.aspx%3Fmid%3DE1DE9294-59A2-40AC-A438-A24A4B6D2653%26pid%3D2b58c9cbc4c545729fdf76165c2d593c&id=preview">Click here to download goal management sheet.</a></font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">If you think you need some help, then coaching<br /> could be the key to helping you attain greater<br /> results.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">It really works?</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">It can be that edge that you need.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Learn more by </font></font></font><a target="_blank" href="http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=kwwjsddab.0.0.ghq8jubab.0&p=http%3A%2F%2Ftinyweblink-001.com%2F%3Fpid%3D3510811&id=preview"><font color="#000000"><span style="text-decoration: none"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">clicking here</font></font></span></font></a><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3"> or paste this address<br /> into your browser.<br /> http://TinyWebLink-001.com/?pid=3510811</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">Coach Manny Nowak<br /> Encouraging, educating, inspiring and strengthening<br /> business owners to be the best.<br /> </font></font></font> </p> </div> <div class="meta2"><div style="float:left"><a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/2009/11/30/planning-key-2-to-making-2010-your-best-year-ever/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent link to Planning, key #2 to making 2010 your best year ever" class="permalink">Permalink</a> | <a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/2009/11/30/planning-key-2-to-making-2010-your-best-year-ever/#respond" class="commentslink" title="Comment on Planning, key #2 to making 2010 your best year ever">Comments</a></div></div> </div> <div class="post"> <h2 class="postheader" id="post-85"><a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/2009/11/23/vision-%e2%80%93-the-first-step-to-making-2010-the-best-year-ever/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Vision – the first step to making 2010 the best year ever">Vision – the first step to making 2010 the best year ever</a></h2> <div class="meta"><img align="right" src="http://blog.mannynowak.com/wp-content/themes/blue-tech-10/images/postheaderend.gif" width="22" height="22" style="margin: -4px 0 0 0" alt="" />Posted in <a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/category/sales/" title="View all posts in Sales" rel="category tag">Sales</a>, <a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/category/coaching/" title="View all posts in Coaching" rel="category tag">Coaching</a>, <a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/category/success/" title="View all posts in Success" rel="category tag">Success</a> by Manny on November 23rd, 2009 </div> <div class="entry"> <p><meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="CONTENT-TYPE" /><title /><meta content="OpenOffice.org 2.4 (Win32)" name="GENERATOR" /><style type="text/css"> <!-- @page { size: 8.5in 11in; margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } --> </style></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font size="3">Do you want to walk on water in 2010. Are you<br /> ready to be part of the 2 percent that make it?<br /> Are you ready to take the first step to get you<br /> there? Are you going to think about it, talk<br /> about it, dream about it, or are you going to<br /> make it happen?</font></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in">Watch video:  <a target="_blank" title="Visioin - The First step to Making 2010 the best year ever" href="http://sharing.theflip.com/session/c0412a72f27ed35b6037e60db698b949/video/7480175">Click Here: </a></p> <p style="margin-bottom: 0in"><font size="3">Vision is the number one key to starting down<br /> the right path. Where are you going and why<br /> do you want to get there? Have you ask yourself<br /> these questions. Can you feel where you want<br /> to be? Can you touch it? Is it in your gut?<br /> When you close your eyes, can you see it?<br /> When you close your eyes can you see<br /> yourself making it happen?</font></p> <p><font size="3">As Joyce Meyer puts it, “nothing energizes us<br /> like having a clear vision of what we are<br /> supposed to be doing”.</font></p> <p><font size="3">Ever meet those people who know exactly<br /> where they want to go, what they want to<br /> accomplish? They inspire us, they drive us<br /> to want to join with them. Early in John F.<br /> Kennedy’s term as president he laid out<br /> the vision for the American Space program.<br /> He create a vision, shared is, got us aboard.<br /> Can you create that vision for your<br /> organization.</font></p> <p><font size="3">In Proverbs 29:18 it says, “Without vision<br /> the people perish”.  Without a vision, you<br /> will never reach the success you are capable<br /> of. Are you ready to settle for less?</font></p> <p><font size="3">So, where has all the vision gone? Why are<br /> we on maintenance? Just doing what we<br /> need to do with no real direction?</font></p> <p><font size="3">If I ask most people the question, “what<br /> is your vision”. I get this blank look. What<br /> I should get it a clear picture of where<br /> they want to be and why. What I should<br /> feel is the passion. What I should get is<br /> a feeling that I want to be part of this.</font></p> <p><font size="3">Are you going to have a vision in 2010<br /> or just follow the crowd?</font></p> <p><font size="3">Vision is where you want to go. If you<br /> don’t know the answer to this, you are like<br /> a person driving around a new city in circles.<br /> You might have a map or a great GPS<br /> system, but unless you know where you<br /> want to go, they will take you nowhere.</font></p> <p><font size="3">So, the first question is, ” how can you<br /> build that vision”. A great method I<br /> would recommend to you is to go to<br /> your favorite place, go alone, take nothing<br /> with you but your mind, a few pens and a<br /> bunch of paper. Let your self go, let<br /> your mind wonder.  It is amazing what<br /> will come to you.</font></p> <p><font size="3">You see, once you find your vision, you<br /> are over half the way to walking on the<br /> water. Over half the way to getting where<br /> you want to be. Unlike Peter, you will<br /> not think about it and fall into the water,<br /> instead you will walk on the water. You<br /> will get what you want in life.</font></p> <p><font size="3">You also must have a desire to attain<br /> this vision. It must be a burning desire.<br /> You must be willing to put it all into action.<br /> You must be willing to do what you need<br /> to in order to make it happen. It has to<br /> drive you. You have to wake up each day<br /> with a burning desire to succeed. It is<br /> what gets you out on the water, but more,<br /> it keeps you from falling in like Peter did.</font></p> <p><font size="3">Second, once you have that vision, you<br /> have to know why you want this vision.<br /> The why is what gets you rolling. The why<br /> are you doing this, The why are you going<br /> to make this happen. The why will keep<br /> you going when it seems to tough. The<br /> why will keep you rolling when you feel<br /> you can’t. The why is the reason you want<br /> this vision, it is in you, it is part of you.</font></p> <p><font size="3">So, this year, stop settling for anything<br /> less. Go for the gold. Go for what you really<br /> want in life. You can do it. But, you have<br /> to have a vision and you have to know why.</font></p> <p><font size="3">Go for it in 2010.</font></p> <p><font size="3">If you think you need some help, then coaching<br /> could be the key to helping you attain greater<br /> results.</font></p> <p><font size="3">It really works?</font></p> <p><font size="3">It can be that edge that you need.</font></p> <p><font size="3">Learn more by </font><a href="http://tinyweblink-001.com/?pid=3510811"><span style="text-decoration: none"><font size="3">clicking here</font></span></a><font size="3"> or paste this address<br /> into your browser.<br /> http://TinyWebLink-001.com/?pid=3510811</font></p> <p><font size="3">Coach Manny Nowak<br /> Encouraging, educating, inspiring and strengthening<br /> business owners to be the best.<br /> </font> </p> </div> <div class="meta2"><div style="float:left"><a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/2009/11/23/vision-%e2%80%93-the-first-step-to-making-2010-the-best-year-ever/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent link to Vision – the first step to making 2010 the best year ever" class="permalink">Permalink</a> | <a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/2009/11/23/vision-%e2%80%93-the-first-step-to-making-2010-the-best-year-ever/#respond" class="commentslink" title="Comment on Vision – the first step to making 2010 the best year ever">Comments</a></div></div> </div> <div class="post"> <h2 class="postheader" id="post-84"><a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/2009/11/23/walk-on-water-in-2010/" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to Walk on water in 2010">Walk on water in 2010</a></h2> <div class="meta"><img align="right" src="http://blog.mannynowak.com/wp-content/themes/blue-tech-10/images/postheaderend.gif" width="22" height="22" style="margin: -4px 0 0 0" alt="" />Posted in <a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/category/coaching/" title="View all posts in Coaching" rel="category tag">Coaching</a>, <a href="http://blog.mannynowak.com/category/success/" title="View all posts in Success" rel="category tag">Success</a> by Manny on November 23rd, 2009 </div> <div class="entry"> <p><meta content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv="CONTENT-TYPE"><title>

Are you ready to make 2010 your best year ever?
Are you ready to do what you need to do to make
it happen?
Are you sure?

How did you do in 2009?
Did you accomplish all your goals?
Did you make the best effort you could?
Are you sure?

Did you know that 90 percent of the people
out there have lost motivation and drive toward
their goals by the end of January. That another
8 percent have lost it by the end of the first
quarter? That leaves only 2 percent that really
make it happen.

Are you ready to be part of that 2 percent
in 2010?

Are you ready to do what you need to to make
it happen?

Simple story for you today that takes place 2000
or so years ago. These guys are out on a boat
when all of a sudden they see their friend walking
on the water toward them. Now one of the
fishermen on the boat, a fellow by the name of
Peter, calls out to the fellow on the water -
“Jesus, let me come out and walk on the water
with you”. “Come on out”, Jesus replies. So this
fellow, Peter jumps up, puts his legs over the
edge, puts his feet on the water and starts to
walk toward Jesus. He is doing great. He is
walking on the water

But then something happens.
He starts thinking about what is going on
“I am walking on water, you cannot walk on water,
I cannot be doing this, this is impossible”.

Self doubt starts to set in. And what happens?
Peter sinks into the water and gets all wet. Now
there is much more to the story, but for us right
now that is enough.

The moral of the story is simple. We can do
amazing things if we believe we can. We can
do amazing things because we believe we can.

But then, we, like Peter we start to get this
self doubt and what happens?

We fall into the water.

Are you ready to walk on the water in 2010?
Are you ready to leave the rest behind and
be the best. Are you ready to make it happen
for you?

It is time you started to really make it happen.
It is time you stopped settling for anything less
than the best. It is time for you to make it
happen. 2010 is the year for you. It is time
for you to become part of the 2 percent.

There are four pieces to the puzzle that will
make it happen for you and we will be covering
one each week over the next four weeks.

Here is just a simple overview:

1. Vision
Where are you going and why do you want to get there
Can you feel it, touch it?
Is it in your gut?
Can you see it?
Can you see yourself making it happen?

2. Plan
How you going to get there and how are you
going to know you are there or not there, or
where exactly you are?
How are you going to know what to do and when?

3. Action
What do you need to do and when.
Are you doing it?

4. Accountability
Who is making sure you do it?
Who is holding you up to your goals?
You cannot hold yourself accountable not matter
what you think.

2010 can be your best year ever. But right now
you have to make that commitment. You have
to believe it. You have to dedicate yourself to
making it happen. Stop settling for anything less.

Go for it in 2010.

If you think you need some help, then coaching
could be the key to helping you attain greater
results.

It really works?

It can be that edge that you need.

Take this<br /> and use it in your life this week.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">1. If you don’t believe it, try it on people you know,<br /> or don’t know. Present something difficult that you are<br /> planning on doing and listen as they come back at you<br /> with all kinds of reasons it cannot be done. People have<br /> this natural thing to look at why things can’t be done.<br /> Go out and do the opposite. Always look at how to get<br /> things done. Stop building a case against yourself.</font></font></font></p> <p><font color="#000000"><font face="Verdana, Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="3">2. Robert Collier in Acre of Diamonds: “The difference<br /> between the successful man and the unsuccessful one<br /> is not so much a matter of training or equipment.
